27 May Alfabia Gardens in the TVE programme Jardines con historia (Gardens with history)
Gardens with history’ is the space dedicated to history and botany on La 2. A wide-ranging look at the variety of gardens on the peninsula and archipelagos, where the landscape is the real thing.
The series directed by Sonia Tercero Ramiro covers emblematic gardens, public and private, heirs to different styles and historical periods, which make up the landscape dimension of the cultural assets of the national plant heritage.
Arturo Franco presents the biography of the people who, through the gardens, thought, created and contributed to establishing their own varied landscape culture, with native and exotic botanical species adapted to the conditions of the geography, where the garden emerges as a means of artistic and human expression linked to the culture and feelings of its promoters and creators.
On the 14th of May, the programme was broadcast presenting the Alfabia Gardens in Bunyola, a garden of Arab origin that has been passed down from generation to generation of the Zaforteza family.
